Security Officer - Systems Access Control

As a Security Officer - Systems Access Control in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or access issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, observe visitor activity, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Assist with de-escalation, directions, and general assistance for people on site while maintaining awareness of healthcare operations and reporting incidents in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
