Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Full Time in Temple, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to foster a secure environment at a busy retail location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. This armed post requires you to be attentive and proactive, utilizing your training and experience to address potential concerns and support the overall well-being of the location. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and/or other security-related incidents.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or customers to provide assistance and promote a secure environment.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site protocols for access control, incident response, and escalation procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive activity and provide reassurance to patrons and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
