As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Site - Weekdays in Temple, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your visible presence and professional demeanor will support a positive experience for customers and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or actions taken during patrols in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or security-related incidents as required by site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must have Level III Armed Certification if located in Texas.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
