Security Officer - Access Control

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support daily security-related operations. You will remain visible to help to deter incidents, deliver outstanding customer service and communication, and work with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and driven by integrity.

- Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
- Monitor access points, screen deliveries and/or visitors, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, access issues, and other security-related concerns in varying working conditions.
- Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation related to access control activities, visitor management, and daily site operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
