Security Officer - Bay Street South Job in Texas City, Texas

As a Security Officer - Bay Street South in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic operation while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative values. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical facility.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, processing areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site requirements, and document entries, exits, and incidents as required.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established procedures.
- Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
