Security Guard

As a Security Guard GED Verified Patrol Officer in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support people with professionalism, strong communication, and customer service while contributing to a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, while remaining aware of changing conditions.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and authorized access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Assist staff, visitors, and occupants with directions, general assistance, and de-escalation support during tense or disruptive interactions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
