Security Officer Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Coordinator in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity while contributing to a professional and rewarding environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and/or reporting concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and site instructions, helping to support access control, incident response, and security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
