Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol - Medical Office Job in The Bronx, New York

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Incident Management in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established armed response procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
