Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while bringing reliability, agility, and innovation to every shift.

- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and documenting security-related incidents and/or daily activities.
- Support order within a public-facing services environment by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions, and reporting concerns involving residents, guests, and/or property conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
