What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public officials as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, control access to restricted areas, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions.
- Maintain assigned equipment and authorized firearm in accordance with post orders, Allied Universal policies, and applicable laws, while remaining prepared to support emergency situations and/or transportation-related duties if required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
