Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and attention to detail support a secure environment for people and property. This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving is part of the daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel at the logistics and distribution location.
• Provide customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery drivers regarding site-specific policies and procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through active monitoring and maintaining a visible presence at designated points of entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns or irregularities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
• Support emergency response activities and assist with evacuations or other site-specific protocols when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
