As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. You will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment through clear communication, strong customer service, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue and recover access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting observations, incidents, and access-control activity in accordance with established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
