Security Officer - Bank Access Control

As a Security Officer - Bank Access Control in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents within the location. You will provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence to assist employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials for employees, visitors, and vendors according to site-specific policies.
• Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and protocols to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related threats and identify any unusual activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency response personnel when necessary, providing accurate information as requested.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment within the financial institution.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
