Security Officer - Banking Badge Control

As a Security Officer - Banking Badge Control in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas within a financial institution location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will play a key role in upholding a secure environment by managing access badges and supporting the values of agility, reliability, and teamwork that define our company culture.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service by answering questions, offering directions, and assisting visitors while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports, maintaining accurate records as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Assist in emergency response activities when appropriate, collaborating with local authorities and Allied Universal management as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats within the financial institution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
