As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution, you will help maintain a secure, professional environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor and control access to financial institution facilities by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and maintaining accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access issues, and security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three or more years of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
