What You'll Do:

• Assist with controlling access to the healthcare location by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures to help maintain a security-related presence and assist with the smooth operation of entry points.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or emergencies in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and directing individuals as needed within the healthcare environment.
• Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activities.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management, location staff, and emergency responders as needed in response to incidents or requests for assistance.
• Maintain accurate logs and/or reports regarding access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
• Participate in regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns and irregularities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
