As a Security Professional - Government Access Control in Manchester, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and engage with individuals to provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, initiating emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Observe and report on security-related matters as required by site protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by providing information and guidance as needed within the government location.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of daily activities and/or incidents as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panel systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
