As a Security Guard Entry Control in Rye, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic utility location, helping monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and/or visitor management activities at a utility location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, screen authorized personnel and/or deliveries, and report unusual activity, policy violations, or access concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting emergency response activities and other security-related protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs, access records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and identifying security-related concerns or maintenance issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
