Security Officer Full Time Hospital Patrol Job in Towson, Maryland

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Patrol in Towson, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to routine security-related needs. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
- Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
