Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns to site leadership.
- Support site readiness by maintaining awareness of post orders, handling specialized equipment in accordance with assigned duties, and completing required reports and logs in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
