Security Officer Entry Control

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access control points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, screening visitors, maintaining entry and exit records, and communicating access requirements to staff and guests.
- Support truck gate, dock, and yard access operations by checking inbound and outbound traffic, documenting deliveries and pickups, and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with security-related incident documentation and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, noting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
