What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at government facilities in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor records, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
- Complete required reports, maintain clear communication with site contacts and emergency responders, and follow established procedures for alarms, emergencies, and other security-related events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- A Corrections Officer License is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
