Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol Team

As a Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol Team in Tuscaloosa, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate within the healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, visitors, and patients as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues, adapting to the unique environment of a healthcare location.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any irregularities according to site protocols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and patients while addressing security-related concerns or providing directions.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and observing entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Support Allied Universal in maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to those within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
