Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Monitoring Job in Utica, New York

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Monitoring in Utica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, sign-in procedures, and direction to appropriate public-service areas in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
