Security Officer Hospital Job in Ventura, California

As a Security Officer Hospital in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service while responding to routine security-related needs. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established facility procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and directions while maintaining a professional and service-oriented presence.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
