Security Officer Access Specialist

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Walton, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location, dock areas, and restricted spaces.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Support screening of visitors, vendors, and incoming traffic, maintain required logs and records, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding access activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to shipping, receiving, warehouse, and parking areas where conditions may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
