Security Officer Armed Patrol First Aid Response Job in Washington D.C., District of Columbia

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol First Aid Response in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will join a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate locations or services.
- Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and actions taken in clear and accurate reports, maintaining readiness to perform assigned armed duties in accordance with applicable laws and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
