What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities at government locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping to maintain controlled entry and documenting visitor, vehicle, and incident information accurately.
- Prepare clear, timely reports regarding patrol activities, incidents, hazards, and other security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid Armed Guard Card or License is required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
