As a Security Officer Full Time Command Center Dispatcher in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at an educational location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor incoming calls and alarms, document incidents, and dispatch personnel to support campus operations. You will provide exceptional customer service while helping maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders while following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch routine and emergency calls for service to appropriate personnel using established communication protocols.
- Monitor communication systems, alarms, and other security-related technology; document incidents, requests, and response activity accurately.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support as needed.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with field personnel, emergency responders, and campus departments to support timely response activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
