As a Security Officer Patrol Response Associate in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, public spaces, and perimeter points, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and/or restricted areas to help control access, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
- Support daily operations at a government location by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional questions, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Security Experience – 1+ Years.
- 21+ Years of Age.
- Lift More Than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
