Security Officer Screening Specialist

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
- Screen employees, vendors, deliveries, and/or visitors entering or exiting the location according to post orders, including visual inspections of bags, packages, and carried items when required.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor entry points and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support loss prevention efforts, and maintain orderly flow during busy shopping periods.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
