Security Officer - Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Our Security Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, helping to support a secure environment. In this unarmed driving post, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access for employees, contractors, and/or visitors, and support site rules related to deliveries, vehicle traffic, and restricted areas.
- Observe working conditions across indoor and outdoor areas, communicate maintenance or hazard-related concerns to appropriate site personnel, and assist with follow-up during critical situations as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
