What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials; manage visitor access; and direct individuals to appropriate hospital locations.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility areas, parking locations, and the perimeter, reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate access-control, visitor, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures and applicable privacy requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
