Security Officer - School Visitor Screener

As a Security Officer - School Visitor Screener in West Chester, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, greeting guests, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Greet and interact with individuals entering the location in a professional manner, screening for authorized access in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items by following established screening procedures.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and guiding visitors or staff as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site management or Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
