Security Officer Overnight Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee movement, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations through visible presence and professional interaction.
- Support day-to-day operations by maintaining detailed activity logs, communicating relevant updates, and following post orders and banking location procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
