Security Officer Part Time

As an Allied Universal officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, screening processes, and other security-related support functions appropriate to a healthcare environment.
- Support Allied Universal and location personnel by reporting hazards, policy concerns, and/or maintenance issues that could impact daily operations or emergency response efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
