Security Officer Screening Driver Job in West Palm Beach, Florida

As a Security Officer Screening Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents. This driving position with Allied Universal values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals and authorized items entering the government location using assigned screening equipment and established procedures.
- Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate check-in areas, and communicate access concerns to designated personnel.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
