Security Officer Security Screening Job in West Palm Beach, Florida

As a Security Officer Security Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will use X-ray screening and access-control procedures to help identify prohibited items and support a secure environment. You will interact professionally with visitors and staff, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and law enforcement personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen visitors, packages, and personal property in accordance with established government facility procedures and applicable post orders.
- Verify identification, manage visitor entry records, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations or offices.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
- Maintain awareness of activity at screening points and report unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activity according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
