Security Officer Checkpoint Operations Job in West Point, Georgia

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Operations in West Point, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at an automotive location, you will help manage entry points, verify access, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points at an automotive facility; verify credentials, authorize entry in accordance with established procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, business locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Assist with directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to designated locations while maintaining professional communication and supporting orderly site operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
