As a Security Officer - Refinery Perimeter Patrol in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and badging processes. You will communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, respond to concerns, and document observations. You will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset, deliver through teamwork, and always act with integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Respond to alarms, releases, medical events, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, units, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying credentials, managing visitor and delivery entries, and maintaining required logs and/or badges per site policy.
• Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and/or hazard observations, and communicate notable conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have a TSA issued TWIC.
• The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
