As a Security Officer Healthcare in Westwood, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, entry procedures, and security-related concerns while supporting a professional and courteous environment.
- Support healthcare operations by observing patient and visitor areas for policy compliance, reporting hazards or maintenance issues, and assisting with de-escalation support when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
