Security Guard Reception Security Associate

As a Security Guard Reception Security Associate in Whippany, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a professional financial institution location where you will serve as the front desk presence, helping to monitor access, welcome visitors, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. In this stationary role, you will bring a people-first approach while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

- Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
- Monitor lobby and entry activity, greet visitors, verify identification and/or access credentials, and direct employees, guests, and vendors according to site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Support access control functions by maintaining visitor logs, issuing temporary badges or credentials, and reporting concerns involving restricted areas or unauthorized access attempts.
- Answer phones and assist with front desk inquiries while helping to deter disruptions through a professional presence and consistent application of post instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
