Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, verify credentials, control site entry, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. In a team driven by agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, you will play an important role in daily site operations.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor and/or delivery access, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including operational areas, parking areas, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter points, as required by post instructions.
- Support security-related operations at a logistics and distribution location by helping to deter unauthorized access, observing trailer and/or vehicle movement, and maintaining awareness of daily site activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
