Security Officer Access Control

As a Security Officer Access Control in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity to help support site access requirements and other security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and controlled access areas to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions requiring attention.
- Support vehicle and pedestrian screening processes, direct visitors to designated areas, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
