Security Officer Access Operations

As a Security Officer Access Operations in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring team culture built on reliability, innovation, agility, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential checks, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorizations for employees, visitors, and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter areas, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
