Security Officer Campus Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Route Patrol Driver in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe activity across the location, assisting with directing visitors, reporting concerns, and following established protocols for after-hours entry and restricted areas.
- Support daily campus operations by remaining visible, providing assistance during events and/or high-traffic periods, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and other security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
