Security Officer Full Time Badge Authorization Job in Wilmington, Delaware

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Authorization in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming, controlled environment for employees and visitors. You will use communication and customer service skills to help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor access requirements before permitting entry to controlled areas.
- Monitor access points, gates, and visitor management systems; maintain accurate logs of entries, exits, deliveries, and unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least six months of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
