As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Review in Wilmington, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by managing access control procedures, verifying credentials, and following site-specific policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, screen authorized personnel and/or deliveries, and document activity to help support security-related operations and site access requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities in accordance with location protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, restricted areas, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or potential policy violations.
- Prepare clear reports of daily activities, incidents, and visitor interactions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
