As a Security Professional - Distribution Center Access in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, verifying credentials, and supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will be highly visible, provide exceptional customer service, and utilize technology to assist with your duties. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures by verifying identification and granting or denying entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the distribution location.
• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately during emergency situations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity within the logistics and distribution environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary per site protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and maintain a visible presence.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to maintain a secure and orderly environment at the distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
