As a Security Officer Full Time Access Screening in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced distribution location, where you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to support visitor and employee access while maintaining clear communication and a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):
- All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for communication and task management.
- Emails should be composed using standard email clients and should adhere to the formatting and etiquette guidelines outlined in this policy.
- Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with basic computer functions, including but not limited to, email composition, attachment handling, and calendar management.
Customer Service Experience (B219):
- Candidates should highlight any relevant customer service experience in their email communications.
- Emails should reflect a customer-centric approach, showcasing professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
- Responses to inquiries should be timely and informative, demonstrating a commitment to excellent customer service.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, including trucks, trailers, drivers, and vendors, following established site procedures.
- Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
